29 weeks (30 weeks today!)
My hospital bag is well underway and nearly done. This week I have added a nightie for after I’ve given birth, two sleeping bras (which are super comfortable), black maternity tracksuit bottoms, nursing vests and disposable breast pads. I still need to purchase a lot of the baby items and some nursing bras but I’ve been told I need to wait until I’m 37 weeks and my milk comes in.
No new ones, only the small ones on my hips.
Sleep is becoming worse and worse as I become more heavily pregnant. My hips, shoulders and back kill me throughout the night. I find getting up for a wee throughout the night so difficult and no kidding you it takes me a good couple of minutes to get up! I don’t think Freddie is particularly pleased with my moaning and groaning as I turn from one side to the other.
Best moment this week
Receiving our beautiful bouncer from my sister, as soon as I found out I was pregnant I researched into different baby companies and absolutely fell in love with Bloom baby products. I pretty much want their entire baby range! We’ve started off with this bouncer and their universal snug for newborns. We also plan on purchasing the alma papa cot too.
I’m going to do a blog post on this bouncer and the company Bloom Baby so I won’t go too much into it, but I love the simplicity and design of this bouncer and it fits well into the decor in my apartment.
Walking normally, bending over to pick things up, putting my shoes on, just normal day to day tasks are proving so difficult and I cannot wait to have my body back so I can feel normal again.
This baby is super active, and loves to move and wriggle around once mummy has settled for the evening. I can see very clear movements just by looking at my bump which is amazing. I’m waiting for the moment I see a clear foot or fist appearing from my bump!
Anything sweet! They say your appetite is meant to slow down but I can’t say mine has. When will that happen? I’m starting to feel really conscious about putting on lots of weight.
Anything making you queasy or sick
The usual heartburn and acid reflux. Strangely last night I woke up and felt extremely queasy and thought I was going to throw up. I don’t know whether that’s a third trimester thing or if I had eaten something dodgy.
Period pain like cramps, especially in the evening.
Shoulder, hip pain and a really bad bad
I still have the dry scalp which is annoying so I am applying almond oil before every wash.
Swollen face, hands and feet.
Period pain cramps very low down in my stomach.
Belly button in or out
Sometimes in, sometimes out. It’s all dependant on where the baby is lying.
Looking forward to
My baby shower! Also starting to get more of our baby items delivered. We still have our pram and car seat to come yet.
