How far along
I have a few on both sides of my hips, inner thighs and a couple on my lower tummy. I really hope the baby comes soon so my skin doesn’t take a battering. I can sometimes feel my skin stretching too which isn’t pleasant.
A company called Seraphine sent me a couple of items from their new Spring collection (I instagramed the photo below) and OMG I only wish I had purchased a few bits from them earlier on in my pregnancy. I’m planning a post on Seraphine next week, so watch this space. FYI, they are having a 20% off their maternity must haves, if anyone’s interested.
Sleep this week has been okay, if I’m really tired I will sleep through the entire night with only the one toilet visit. If I’m not that tired and insomnia kicks in I can literally be awake from 1am to 5am. When this happens I play on my phone, read the news or stare at the ceiling hoping I’ll get back to sleep soon. Thanks to Freddie who filmed me snoring, I now know I snore really loud, and I’m also sleeping with my mouth open too, which is very attractive lol
Best moment this week
The weather! It’s so nice to finally have my windows open in my flat, be able to go for walks along the river (I say walks more like waddling about 5 minutes from my flat then having to walk back) and pub lunches where you can actual sit outside. It makes me excited for summer and also walks in Richmond park with my little family.
Being able to walk or stand for more than 5 minutes, my SPD has suddenly come back and I’m in a lot of pain most of the time. I find myself not being able to go out much so I’m pretty much stuck in doors Monday to Friday with the odd occasionally trip to Waitrose for food. Then on the weekend I try and get out and about with Freddie. My midwife has said there isn’t much they can do about it and it’ll disappear once the baby arrives.
Movements really hurt especially when the baby stretches or decides to have a kicking attack. I find myself wincing at the movements and sometimes I have to get onto all fours or drink ice cold water to move the baby into a different positions. Poor thing doesn’t have much room inside me anymore, I’m hoping this means the baby will arrive soon!
Fanta and lots of it! Oh and my chocolate craving has returned. Yay to adding on more lbs!
Anything making you queasy or sick
Nope, I’ve been really lucky with heartburn and acid reflux this week and haven’t had it at all. I’ve probably now jinxed myself and I’ll be up all night battling with it!
Surprise! I did ask my midwife at my 36 week midwife appointment how big the baby will be and she thinks between 8-9 pounds. Yikes, bring on an epidural!
Braxton hicks almost every evening, but only in the evening which is strange. I sometimes think I’m going into labour that’s how painful the contractions are but there not consistent and come and go in waves. I’ve also been getting a lot of pressure down below and I can feel the baby’s head bouncing on my cervix which makes me feel like I need a wee, when I don’t.
Tiredness, body aches and pains, extremely hormonal where I’m happy one minute then crying the next and all of the above labour pains. I also think my bump has dropped a lot, what do you think?
Looking forward to
Being full term, I can’t believe my baby will be in my arms in the next 3 weeks. It feels like a dream. I can’t wait to meet you little one!
