I was tagged to complete The Mummy Tag so here we go..
Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
I ‘m currently a stay at home mum but I’ll hopefully be returning back to work sometime next year but for the mean time I’m enjoying my current job of taking care of my little Max.
Would you have it any other way?
I would love to spend every minute of every day with my cherub but I want to be able to give him everything so that means returning back to work. I also feel it’s a healthy decision for myself, I love working and the type of work I do, I’m excited about going back.
Do you co-sleep?
Yes. We have a co sleeper at the side of our bed that Max sleeps in. I would prefer for Max to have his own room but we’re currently in a one bedroom apartment so we’ll need to buy a house first! It’s on the cards if all goes to plan.
What is your one must-have item for your baby?
The tommee tippee perfect prep machine. When you have a screaming hungry baby at 3am and need to make a bottle in under 2 minutes ready to drink at room temperature this machine is for you!
How many kids do you plan on having?
I’ve always wanted to be apart of a large family with lots of siblings, think keeping up with the Kardashian style, where the house is never quiet or dull, there’s always laughter and something going on. I want that for Max. To save Freddie’s sanity however I would would stop at three babies.
Date nights? How often do you have them?
Max is only 5 weeks old so we haven’t had a date night since before he was born. We were kindly given a gift voucher for Gaucho’s so we’ll be having a romantical date night over steak and red wine soon! We just need to persuade the grandparents to babysit first, I’m sure they’ll jump at the opportunity.
Your child’s favourite show?
Max doesn’t have a particular show he likes but he does enjoy looking at the different shapes and colours on the screen. He’s also partial to a bit of golf just like his Daddy.
Name one thing you brought before you had the baby and never ended up using?
All of the breastfeeding things I bought like pads, electric medela pump, nipple cream, storage bags and pots. I ended up using the above for a couple of weeks but then couldn’t continue to breastfeed. It’s not exactly a waste though because I could use it for our next baby. Other items include Max’s newborn clothes. Max was over 10lbs at birth so he went straight into 0-3 months. He’s almost out of 0-3 at 5 weeks old too!
Your child’s favourite food?
So far only milk but I swear he watches Freddie and I eat our dinner like he’s thinking ‘yummy’. He also enjoys drinking a couple of ounces of water in between feeds.
How many cars does your family have?
We currently don’t have a car as we are quite centrally located and all of our amenities are on our door step however when we move we’ll for sure need a car to get around.
Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
Before pregnancy I was a small size 10 I’m definitely not that now but I will work really hard to get back to a size 10!
Dream holiday with your kids?
I want to show Max the world! I was really lucky as a child to be taken to amazing places and I want Max to experience the same, I really want him to be well travelled.
Dream holiday without your kids?
I would love to go on Safari in Kenya, although I’d probably sneak Max in with me, hehe!
How has your life changed since having kids?
My life has completely changed. I’ve had to learn to look after another human being who needs me for absolutely everything. Freddie and I also don’t get to spend a lot of time together. But that’s okay and I’m so happy with my life, I have everything I could ever dream of. A happy healthy family!
Finish the sentence “It makes heart melt when…”
I talk to Max and he tries to converse with me. I love our little chats and I can’t wait for those gurgles to turn into real words. My heart also melts when he gives me his good morning gummy smile, makes my day!
Where do you shop for your kids?
Boys clothes are pretty dull on the high street however I love the clothes at The Little White Company, Zara Baby, Petite Bateau and Baby Gap.
Favourite make-up and skincare products?
Clarins toning oil is an absolute must post pregnancy and I’ve also been slathering on Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It makes me look half decent with the lack of sleep I’m having.
Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers, although if The Honest Company shipped to the UK I’d use their nappies.
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes, I’ve always wanted a family.
Best part of being a mum?
Everything! Even the horrible bits like the lack of sleep. It’s all worth it when you have a gorgeous little mini you. Max is my partner in crime my best friend and I wouldn’t want to spend my day with anyone else. I’m proud to hold the title as Mum, it’s a privilege to be one to my little Maximilian.
I want to tag all you yummy mummy’s out there to do this tag!
