With Freddie back at work today the new year has officially kicked off for us. I was devastated when his two week holiday finished and was pretty upset until I started writing this post on my goals for this year. Reading all of my goals really excited me and it made me realise how amazing 2015 could be!
Buy a house
We’re currently in a small one bedroom apartment in the perfect location near the Thames, if I had it my way I wouldn’t move! However since having Max there just isn’t enough room to swing a cat let alone raise a baby. This year we hope to buy a beautiful home in an amazing location where we’ll settle in for 5-10 years. We already have a date set (end of Jan) where we’ll be moving into Freddie’s parents house whilst we sell our current place so our move is definitely underway.
This brings me nicely onto my next goal. I’ve always been a spender not a saver. In my working hayday if I saw something I liked I wouldn’t think twice about buying it, I would just whip out my card without a care in the world. Well with my maternity pay coming to a screeching hault (sob) it’s time to get saving, especially if we want a house and a few other little luxuries.
Lose the baby weight
I really haven’t been interested in getting back to my pre pregnancy weight which hasn’t really bothered me until now. 2014 was a year of nurturing and caring for my newborn and I definitely didn’t do the same to myself. This year however it’s time to curb the take aways, drink more water and exercise. I’m not too fussed about getting right back to my pre preggo weight but I want to lead a healthier lifestyle and feel comfortable in my own skin again.
Go on holiday
Last year was the first year Freddie and I didn’t have a holiday abroad. 2015 will be the year we’ll jet off somewhere exotic and tropical. Max will also be the perfect age where he can enjoy the sun, sea and sand as much as we do.
Set a date for our wedding
On the 11th September 2013 at 13 weeks pregnant I was proposed to on a beach in Mexico. The last couple of years have been a complete whirlwind and our wedding has taken a back seat. This year I want to set a date and plan our wedding. I’m not talking a massive spectacle of a wedding something small, intimate with all of our close family and friends.
Continue with my hobbies
Being a stay at home mum can be really lonely especially if your other half spends a lot of time in the office as mine does. In 2014 I really developed my hobbies. I blogged, took up vlogging and started my scrapbook. I’ve made/met some wonderful people who I can now call friends, I really want to continue all of my hobbies into this year. It’s tough looking after a baby, home, maintaining my blog, YouTube channel and scrapbook but it’s nice to have something else to do apart from being a mother to Maxi.
I can’t wait for the end of 2015 to see how my goals have progressed or if I’ve completed any of them. I love reflecting and having goals to meet, I’m completely up for the challenge. Bring it on 2015!
