My Top Tips For Fitness Motivation*

Loosing the baby weight can be easy for some and the most painfully slow experience for others, I fall on the latter part unfortunately. To keep myself on the fitness wagon I try and stick to these 5 tips.
Go Shopping. Shopping makes me happy whether it’s shopping for a pair of shoes to match an outfit or a simple grocery shop. Shopping for gym clothes is the best part about deciding to jump on the fitness wagon. I mean is it wrong to want to work out in style? I think not!
I recently got these two pieces from Fat Face’s new Activ88 range, the Overhead Hoody and Moonshadow Running Leggings

The hoody is extremely supportive and yet flattering, has breathable mesh panels and thumb loops for a comfortable fit. 

The leggings are nice and thick, high waisted and fitted which I like in a pair of running leggings, I also love the all over floral pattern and internal pocket which comes in handy for your keys and phone. Throw away your gym membership. I hate the gym! It’s always an effort to get there, book classes, have a shower after, and not to mention trying to fit in the time around your baby. I love working out without having to leave the comfort of my own home. With YouTube there’s tons of fitness channels, from quick 10 minute sessions to 45 minute yoga workouts you can happily fit around your daily life.
Take a break. Once I get going I can’t stop, if I stop I feel like a failure and then it’s equally just as hard to get back onto my regime. However this isn’t the case when it comes to working out. Take a day off to relax and give your muscles a break, your body needs time to recuperate and heal. On my day off I still manage to incorporate a light workout by going for a long walk in the park with Max. 
Get a friend involved. I workout best with a friend and I love the competition. If I’ve planned to workout with a buddy there’s a 90% chance I won’t flake. Not only is it healthy competition but it’s so much fun having a giggle through a sweaty Zumba class then it is flapping your arms and legs around at the back of the class on your own! 
Use your phone. The moment you decide to start your fitness journey take a photo of yourself and keep taking photos every 3 weeks or so. You can then keep a track of your progress whilst giving yourself a pat on the back for doing so well. There’s know better motivation than seeing the results for yourself.

    The gymboss app is awesome. I used to take the baby for a walk and stop and do intervals (squats, lunges, step ups) after every lap of the park. He usually napped and I'd get a workout!
