Cybex Priam Pushchair Review

If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I have a pushchair addiction. From the moment I fell pregnant with my first baby it was the only baby product I obsessed over. It needed to have everything, be the Rolls Royce of pushchairs, singing all dancing, you name it. My only regret is not finding the Cybex Priam pushchair sooner because WOW it is amazing and has honestly blown us away. Cybex has always been a brand we put all our trust into. We invested in the Solution Q3-fix car seat for Max which we cannot recommend enough and Emmie had the Cloud Q again another high quality carseat. It was only a matter of time until we were lured into their pushchairs and let me tell you we’ve been blown away with the Priam and all it’s features.

Right enough of the ramble, let me tell you all the ins and outs of this beauty…

The Priam is easy to use in every possible way, from its one folding mechanism to its glide and steering to the assembly. It arrives in two boxes, one box has the chassis/wheels and the other has your lux seat. It slots together like an absolute dream, coming from an absolute novice when it comes to putting things together!

It folds in one with the seat attached and with only the one hand needed, Freddie and I were both shocked at how easy it was to fold and pop into the boot of our Golf. It definitely comes in  handy when you have a toddler and baby to contend with which in itself is stressful enough when you’re out and about. The pushchair can also fold into a free-standing unit which is ideal for storing away in restaurants and on public transport.

The feel of the Priam is amazing, it pushes and glides ever so easily and it’s comfortable for both you and baby. The brake is also easy to use with a flick of the foot you brake immediately and with ease. There’s a height adjustable handlebar made from high quality leather like material and with a push of a button you can easily adjust the height of the handle according to your needs. The pushchair has a very large under basket which is handy to put all the bits you need to take with you or for those spontaneous purchases (not that I ever do that ha!). It has a magnet button which closes and secures the basket which is fab for keeping your belongings secure and safe. I have to say baskets for me are an important feature in a buggy and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint.

We have the Lux seat in the gorgeous Manhattan Grey. The fabric has a denim look which is achieved by the hard-wearing twill effect. There’s 7 stunning colour ways to choose from, I also adore the Autumn Gold shade. It’s a colour on a pushchair I’ve never seen before, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

The seat itself is aligned and the perfect height to use as a highchair whether you’re at home in a park cafe or in a restaurant.  The height of the seat (roughly 80cms, your average table height) also means you feel closer to your little one, their also happy which is great because it means longer stints sitting in the pushchair! There’s also a convenient leg rest which adjusts into multiple positions for added comfort. Talking about comfort the belts are padded for optimum comfort and the seat in lay offers even more comfort and support.

The bumper bar is made from high quality leather like fabric and can be opened from one side for an easy entrance. Emmie loves the bumper bar and tends to hold onto it or use it as an extra foot rest. I particularly like the added feature of not needing to remove the bar to fold the pushchair as it stays on and all the parts stay together. Having a pushchair previously where you needed to remove the bar meant we never used it and eventually lost the bar, opps!

To recline the pushchair there’s a handy lever which can be used using one hand and has multiple positions for your baby to either lay for naps or sit up. The seat can also be used forward or rear facing which is great for us because Emmie’s at the age where she likes to look forward but sometimes needs to be rear facing and looking at us.

The canopy itself has an UPF of 50+ for maximum sun protection and can be extended by pulling open the handy zip. It also features a mesh like material once the canopy is extended for added breeze which is perfect on a hot Summers day.

The Cybex Priam is an all terrain kind of pushchair which can be used on the beach, skiing or on uneven pavements. You can switch the pushchair into two-wheel mode when you’re faced with steps, kerbs or sand. It can be easily switched with one hand into this mode and without having to remove the seat which is so handy. The wheels are high quality rubber wheels filled with foam so you’ll be sure to never have a flat tyre. There’s also lots of accessories you can buy as add ons, from the stylish ski attachments to mosquito nets and a kid board which is useful when you have more than one child. The pram is super lightweight, stable, easy to handle and an absolute pleasure to manoeuvre. You’ll enjoy having this pushchair in your life for its ease, look and performance! The Cybex Priam retails from £810 and the adapters for your carseat etc are provided with the Priam pushchair.

What are your thoughts on the Cybex Priam? Are you in love with it just as much as I am?

Hi, love your comment about the stroller, and Love the stroller too. But I wonder, how come some of the lux seat comes with the unbreathable pick a boo window canopy, and some with that wonderful breathable mesh like yours! I want the breathable one, coz I’m living in Hong Kong, and it’s very hot in summer there. Do you know how to get that one? I couldn’t find any information about different canopy on the internet. Thanks
