My Hair Care Tips For Gorgeously Healthy Hair

 

 

Here are my essential hair care tips for bouncy, shiny and healthy hair.

 

Say No To Heat

 

Excessive blow drying will damage your locks for sure. Using styling tools and overheating your hair may save time but overtime will cause more harm than good. To keep your hair healthy and in tip top shape, try not to use heat styling products on a daily basis. Always give your hair 15 minutes to air dry naturally before using your hairdryer. Dry from a distance and constantly move your hair.

 

Sleep on a silk pillow

 

Damage is caused while sleeping. This can be due to your hair being roughed up and tangled whilst you catch your Zzz. A silk pillow will help give a more slippery surface for your hair which avoids friction which will also mean less hair styling and brushing is needed the next day.

 

Shampoo and Condition like your hairdresser

 

Applying shampoo and conditioner may sound like a no brainer but there’s a knack to it which everyone should get right. Rather than using a bucket load of shampoo just use a small amount, roughly the size of a 20p coin for short to medium length hair or 50p for longer tresses. Shampoo the scalp and give your scalp a real good massage making sure you get that blood circulation going.

 

Before applying your conditioner you should always make sure your hair is towel dry first. Having excess water in your hair will stop the conditioner from working. The water blocks the conditioner from entering the hair particles which in turns basically renders your conditioner useless. Avoid putting conditioner at the roots, knowone wants greasy hair!

 

Use the correct products

 

And when I say correct products I mean, heat protector, this is a MUST! Also using high quality shampoos and conditioner will work wonders on your locks.

 

Adopt a healthy lifestyle

 

Having a healthy lifestyle means it will reflect on your skin and hair. To keep your hair healthy you need to adopt a nourishing and hydrated diet. For shining tresses eating fruit and vegetables is the key and remember to get those 2 litres of water in a day. Consuming turmeric also has it’s benefits for your skin and hair, I’m currently loving turmeric lattes.

 

..and if the above still doesn’t give you the hair that you want a hair transplant treatment is always an option!
