Review: Our Stay With Wyld Experiences

I first want to apologise for the photo overload but seriously guys this place is so beautiful. From the moment we arrived I knew we were in for a real treat. We parked up at Cowden Station and were collected and taken to Wyld Experiences secret location. We were then shown our bell tent for the night and were overwhelmed with how gorgeous it was. It had two beds one for the husband and I and the other for the kiddies to share. There was fresh water, a cute vase filled with wild flowers picked from the woodland meadow and comfy blankets, rugs and cushions.

Once  we settled in we were then invited to attend welcome drinks and a lunch with the site owners and other happy campers. The drinks served were elderflower and berries with sparkling water. The elderflowers again hand-picked from the site itself. The lunch served was a mixture of fresh delicious salads, mackerel, humus and pita breads and a selection of cheeses and crackers. What a spread!

Once we had filled our tummies we then headed off on a guided walk through the site. We ventured into woodlands down to the treatment area where we booked ourselves into 15 minute Indian head massages. We then carried on through the woodlands by a cute stream and found ourselves overwhelmed with the smells of wild garlic, we even spotted a baby tree!

Heading back up to the bell tents we were then invited to a yoga session especially designed for pregnant and postpartum mums. The outside class was under a beautiful gazebo up in the hills surrounded by countryside, it was honestly the most relaxing experience of my life. Better than any massage I’ve ever had!

Once yoga was finished we were invited to enjoy the site for some free time before dinner. Dinner was absolutely delicious and cooked on site. We had a yummy vegetable chilli served with rice, fresh herbs, sour cream and tortillas followed by a watermelon and chocolate platter. It filled our tummies ready for bed. Then came bedtime and we were all offered lanterns and hot water bottles, the whole experience was hygge and luxurious.

Overall our time at Wyld Experiences was fantastic. It was our first time camping with the kiddies and even though it wasn’t ‘real’ camping because all the amenities were included it was a good taster session to see how the little ones would get on. It’s amazing seeing how Max and Emmie coped being at one with nature especially as their city children at heart! They helped with the washing up, played free range with the other children on site and overall were in their absolute element. They even went off to bed with no fuss leaving Freddie and I for some much-needed prosecco time.

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone at Wyld Experiences. Everyone was so welcoming and made our stay ever so relaxing. We will 100% be back soon!
