My Experience With So Shape Smartfood

I’ve never reviewed anything like this on my blog before but when I was asked by So Shape if I wanted to try their ‘Smartfood’ I jumped at the chance. Life as a mum can be super stressful, busy and down right exhausting so I’m all for anything that will ease the burden of trying to find healthy snacks into my diet.

The Cooking Test

I decided to bake the Smart Muffins because I really wanted one with a cup of tea ha! The instructions were super easy to follow and I am going to explain exactly what I did.

On the back of the packet is where you can find the instructions. It gives you the prep for one muffin so I quadrupled the quantities to make four.

For four muffins you need to scoop out 12 scoops of mixture into a mixing bowl along with 160ml of water. Mix mix mix away until your batter is lovely and smooth. At this point you can add the yummy Smart chocolate chips if you need that afternoon chocolate fix like I do!

Make sure you then pre heat your oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Whilst your oven is heating pour the mixture into the silicon muffin mold tray (without butter!) Then with a knife, draw a cross on the top so that is elevates itself in a uniformed way.

Cook at 180 degrees in the oven

  • 17-19 minutes for 1 to 2 muffins
  • 20-22 minutes for 3 to 4 muffins

It’s as easy as that!

The Taste Test

Once the muffins are out of the oven leave to cool for at least 3 minutes before it’s time for the oh so important taste test. Cup of tea at the ready I delved in for my first taste and OMG I am not kidding they tasted absolutely scrumptious. Crispy on the outside and soft and moist in the middle.

My Overall Opinion

Overall I am so impressed with So Shape’s Smartfood. The little time is takes for prep and cooking means this way of eating is an absolute win for me. High in protein, high in fibres, zero sugar, zero fat and zero gluten. This really is a way of life that I am on board with!
